𝟒𝟓𝐭𝐡 𝐁𝐨𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠

The Foundation’s 45th Board Meeting was held today at the Tarayana Centre, chaired by our Founding President, Her Majesty Gyalyum Dorji Wangmo Wangchuck. Her Royal Highness Princess Sonam Dechan Wangchuck graced the meeting alongside Board and Executive Committee Members.

The meeting began with the offering of khadar to Her Majesty in honour of the conferment of the Soldier of Humanity Award 2025. In acknowledging the honour, Her Majesty shared that the award belongs to the entire Tarayana family, the Board, management, staff, and community partners who serve communities with dedication and compassion.

The recognition also serves as a reminder for the Tarayana family to rededicate ourselves to the Foundation’s mission, renewing our commitment to serve those most in need with sincerity and responsibility.

Her Majesty shared her deep gratitude to all the Tarayana members who continue to serve communities with dedication and compassion. Her Majesty reflected that Tarayana has always been synonymous with service from the heart, and expressed appreciation for the trust that communities place in the Foundation.

The meeting reviewed regular updates from the subsidiary organizations, including the Folk Heritage, Tarayana MicroFinance for Rural Development Ltd. (TMF), Bhutan Echoes, Tarayana Dragons BDMC, and the ongoing programme activities and finance and administration updates of the Foundation.

Her Majesty expressed satisfaction in seeing the breadth and impact of the work being carried out by the Foundation and its partners. Her Majesty acknowledged the collective efforts of the Board, management, and teams working on the ground, and encouraged continued commitment to serving communities with integrity and compassion.

The meeting concluded with renewed motivation to further strengthen Tarayana’s mission of supporting vulnerable communities and promoting sustainable development across Bhutan.
