The Foundation is currently conducting a 7-day Climate and Disaster-Resilient House Construction Training at Tashithang Chiwog, Sergithang Gewog, Tsirang, under the project “Holistic Community Development with a Focus on Enhancing Housing Conditions, Improving Nutrition and Economic Security to Strengthen Social Protection in Rural Bhutan.”
Led by our Head Office team, the Project Officer and Architect, the training has brought together 25 local participants and 12 Sonamjabchorpa from Tsirang Dzongkhag to strengthen practical skills in resilient housing construction.

Over the past week, participants successfully completed the Roof Truss Construction Training (3 days)
and Window Installation Training.
They have now begun learning foundation construction techniques, equipping them with the knowledge and hands-on skills to build safer, stronger homes that can better withstand the impacts of climate change and natural disasters.

Funded by the Government of India through the Cabinet Secretariat, the initiative is being implemented in Tshogoenpa Village, Lumang Gewog, Trashigang, and Sergithang Gewog, Tsirang, with the goal of strengthening housing, livelihoods, and community resilience in rural Bhutan.
