The 46th Board Meeting of the Tarayana Foundation was successfully convened today at Terma Linca Paro, under the gracious chair of our Honorable Founding President, Her Majesty Queen Mother Dorji Wangchuck.
The meeting was attended by our esteemed Board members, including Her Royal Highness Princess Sonam Dechan Wangchuck, as well as members of the Executive Committee.

A significant highlight of the meeting was the appointment of two new Board members. We are delighted to welcome Mr. Chencho Nidup, Proprietor of Druk Events and a former member of the Executive Committee, and Aum Chime P. Wangdi, Secretary General of the Tarayana Foundation, to the Board. We warmly welcome them and look forward to their continued valuable guidance and contributions in advancing the Foundation’s mission.
The Board reviewed the progress and achievements of the Tarayana Foundation and its sister organizations-Tarayana Microfinance for Rural Development, Tarayana Centre for Research and Development, Tarayana Dragons, Bhutan Echoes, Folk Heritage Museum, Bhutan TSHAR, and Tarayana Rural Crafts, since the previous Board meeting. The discussions provided valuable insights and strategic direction to further strengthen the effectiveness, impact, and long-term sustainability of our collective efforts.

During the meeting, Her Majesty conveyed Her heartfelt appreciation to every member of the Tarayana family, with special recognition of our dedicated field staff and Sanam Jabchorpas, whose unwavering commitment and selfless service continue to transform lives and bring hope to communities across Bhutan.
We also extend our sincere gratitude to Terma Linca Paro, and its entire team for graciously hosting our Board meeting, for their generous sponsorship, and for their exceptional hospitality. The beautiful venue, impeccable arrangements, and sumptuous meal created a warm and welcoming atmosphere, making the meeting both productive and truly memorable.
