

Tarayana Foundation, together with the Department of Local Government and Disaster Management (DLGDM) and the European Union (EU) Technical Advisor, held a coordination meeting to explore collaborative opportunities under the EU-supported project across selected project sites.
The meeting focused on strengthening support for the Bamboo Group in Serzhong Gewog, Sarpang Dzongkhag, with discussions centred on capacity building, skills development, product innovation, and improving market access for bamboo-based enterprises. The partners reaffirmed their shared commitment to creating sustainable livelihood opportunities through coordinated technical assistance and community-driven interventions.


Following the meeting, the team conducted the first field-level consultation in Serzhong Gewog, engaging community members, local leaders, and other stakeholders to better understand local needs and identify opportunities for strengthening the bamboo enterprise.
The consultation provided a valuable platform for community members to share their experiences, aspirations, and challenges while jointly exploring practical solutions to enhance production, product quality, and market linkages.
The collaboration marks an important step towards empowering rural communities by promoting sustainable bamboo-based enterprises, strengthening local capacities, and creating resilient livelihood opportunities through innovation, partnership, and shared knowledge.
