


The 20th Tarayana Fair 2026 has officially been inaugurated on 29th May at @Changyul Park, commemorating 23 years of service, compassion, and community transformation across Bhutan.
Graced by Her Majesty Gyalyum Dorji Wangmo Wangchuck, Founding President of Tarayana Foundation, His Eminence Vairochana Rinpoche Ngawang Jigme Jigten Wangchuk, Her Royal Highness Princess Sonam Dechan Wangchuck, His Royal Highness Prince Jigyel Ugyen Wangchuck, Excellencies, Dignitaries, the celebration brought together communities, partners, volunteers, artisans, farmers, students, and well-wishers from across the country under the theme:
โStrengthening Climate Resilience and Economic Prosperity Through Community Empowerment and Innovation.โ



In Her Majestyโs inspiring address, She reflected on how Tarayana began through the simple yet powerful spirit of volunteerism, Bhutanese people coming together wholeheartedly to serve one another with compassion, kindness, and dignity. Her Majesty also highlighted how this spirit continues to grow through Tarayana Clubs across the country, nurturing young people to become compassionate and responsible citizens committed to serving their communities.



Her Majesty also expressed heartfelt appreciation to the Desuups for their continued volunteer service to the nation and their unwavering support to Tarayana Foundation over the years.
The Fair proudly welcomed communities from 16 districts, showcasing unique local products, traditional crafts, textiles, organic produce, and cultural heritage that reflect the resilience, creativity, and rich identity of rural Bhutan.

For 19 fairs and twenty-two years, Tarayana Foundation has journeyed alongside communities across remote villages and highlands, guided always by the values of compassion, dignity, service, and community empowerment.
As the Fair officially opens, we warmly invite everyone to visit Changyul Park and celebrate Bhutanese culture, community spirit, crafts, food, music, and meaningful stories of transformation together.
