
The Honโble Founding President of the Foundation, Her Majesty Gyalyum Dorji Wangmo Wangchuck visited the College of Natural Resources on 30 April 2026. The visit was marked by the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with the College, formalizing collaboration in research, sustainable rural development, natural resource management, youth employment, and knowledge exchange.


A key highlight was Her Majestyโs interaction with the Tarayana Club, during which the club representative shared community initiatives inspired by Tarayanaโs work.


In addressing the students and faculty, Her Majesty underscored the vital role of CNR students in shaping Bhutanโs rural future. Her Majesty emphasized that agriculture, livestock, forestry, and sustainable development remain central to national well-being, and called on students to become extension leaders and change-makers who bridge knowledge with community needs. In line with Bhutanโs vision for the Gelephu Mindfulness City, Her Majesty highlighted the responsibility of young professionals in advancing climate-smart agriculture, sustainable livelihoods, and green rural enterprises, grounded in empathy, humility, and service.


Commending the Tarayana Club, Her Majesty encouraged members to deepen their engagement and embrace service as a lifelong commitment.


The visit and MoU mark a significant step in strengthening collaboration to advance sustainable development and empower Bhutanโs future leaders.
