From April 10โ12, the Program Team from Head Office, together with Gewog Committee members, carried out community consultations, household surveys, and field documentation in Gakiling and Rhekhey villages under Dewathang Gewog, Samdrup Jongkhar.

These important activities are part of the Disaster-Resilient Housing for Vulnerable Rural Communities in Bhutan โ Phase II Project, generously supported by Karuna Foundation.
The consultations provided an opportunity to engage directly with community members, understand local needs, and gather essential information to support safer and more resilient housing solutions for vulnerable rural households. Through close collaboration with local stakeholders, the project continues to strengthen community resilience and lay the groundwork for sustainable and disaster-resilient development.
Together, we are building safer homes, stronger communities, and a more resilient future for rural Bhutan.
