𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐋𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬, 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐋𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐝𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐍𝐚𝐫𝐨 𝐆𝐞𝐰𝐨𝐠

The Foundation handed over 19 sets of portable corral fencing to 19 yak herder households in Naro Gewog, Thimphu under the Small Grant Project, supported by GEF-SGP and UNDP–COMDEK, recently.

For years, yak herders have faced the constant challenge of human–wildlife conflict, often losing livestock to predators. At the same time, maintaining a clean and safe milking environment has remained a concern.

With this initiative:

* Yaks are better protected from predation.

* Safer and cleaner milking practices are supported.

* Livelihood security for herder families is strengthened.

This is more than just fencing, it is about security, dignity, and resilience for our herder families.
