𝐀𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐀𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐀𝐠𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭 𝐂𝐥𝐢𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞: 𝐌𝐋𝐑𝐍 𝐀𝐧𝐧𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒

The 𝑨𝒏𝒏𝒖𝒂𝒍 𝑰𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒏𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝑪𝒐𝒏𝒇𝒆𝒓𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑴𝒊𝒅-𝑳𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒕𝒖𝒅𝒆 𝑹𝒆𝒈𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝑵𝒆𝒕𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒌 (𝑴𝑳𝑹𝑵) has officially begun in Paro, Bhutan from yesterday! Under the theme, “Accelerating Collaborative Scientific and Policy Response to Address Climate Change,” this landmark event highlights the power of global collaboration to combat one of humanity’s most significant challenges.

The conference was inaugurated by the Founding President of the Tarayana Foundation, 𝑯𝒆𝒓 𝑴𝒂𝒋𝒆𝒔𝒕𝒚 𝑸𝒖𝒆𝒆𝒏 𝑴𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓 𝑫𝒐𝒓𝒋𝒊 𝑾𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒎𝒐 𝑾𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒄𝒉𝒖𝒄𝒌, in the presence of distinguished participants, including Honorable Deputy Minister Lyonpo Kesang Wangdi, Professor Woo Kyun Lee (Director of MLRN), esteemed international experts, and Directors of different relevant agencies.

A significant milestone was marked with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between, 𝑻𝒂𝒓𝒂𝒚𝒂𝒏𝒂 𝑪𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒓𝒆 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝑹𝒆𝒔𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒄𝒉 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑫𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒍𝒐𝒑𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕 (𝑻𝑪𝑹𝑫), 𝑻𝒂𝒓𝒂𝒚𝒂𝒏𝒂 𝑭𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒅𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑶𝑱𝒆𝒐𝒏𝒈 𝑹𝒆𝒔𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝑰𝒏𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒕𝒖𝒕𝒆 (𝑶𝑱𝑬𝑹𝑰), 𝑲𝒐𝒓𝒆𝒂 𝑼𝒏𝒊𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒊𝒕𝒚, 𝑺𝒐𝒖𝒕𝒉 𝑲𝒐𝒓𝒆𝒂.

This MoU sets a visionary framework for collaboration on climate resilience, sustainable development, biodiversity conservation, and knowledge sharing, fostering progress through joint efforts.

Hosted by the 𝑲𝒐𝒓𝒆𝒂 𝑼𝒏𝒊𝒗𝒆𝒓𝒔𝒊𝒕𝒚’𝒔 𝑶𝑱𝑬𝒐𝒏𝒈 𝑹𝒆𝒔𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝑰𝒏𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒕𝒖𝒕𝒆 (𝑶𝑱𝑬𝑹𝑰), in collaboration with 𝑴𝒊𝒅-𝑳𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒕𝒖𝒅𝒆 𝑹𝒆𝒈𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝑵𝒆𝒕𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒌 𝑺𝒆𝒄𝒓𝒆𝒕𝒂𝒓𝒊𝒂𝒕 𝑻𝒂𝒓𝒂𝒚𝒂𝒏𝒂 𝑭𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒅𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏, the 𝑩𝒉𝒖𝒕𝒂𝒏 𝑻𝒓𝒖𝒔𝒕 𝑭𝒖𝒏𝒅 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝑬𝒏𝒗𝒊𝒓𝒐𝒏𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒂𝒍 𝑪𝒐𝒏𝒔𝒆𝒓𝒗𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏, the conference is a testament to the belief that collective action is key to addressing climate change.
