The 6th Annual Green Technology Challenge in collaboration with the College of Science and Technology (CST) was held at CST premises in Rinchending, Phuentsholing today.
The theme for this year’s challenge is “Low Cost Drip Irrigation System.” From the 25 proposals submitted, top 5 were selected for the competition. Group 2 won the first prize for this year’s challenge. All the participants were Electrical Engineering students of CST.
Green Technology Challenge was initiated in the year 2013, with the intention of contributing towards the national goal of remaining carbon neutral as well as giving a platform to showcase innovation and creativity of our future engineers towards efficient technologies that would benefit rural communities. The result of the past challenges are being adopted in the villages that Tarayana works with and continues to improve the living standard of the community members and provide them with life skills and knowledge for sustained rural development and growth.
