A training on souvenir production from dry felting and yak/ sheep wool
A training on souvenir production from dry felting and yak/ sheep wool is currently underway at Tsento gewog, Paro for the nomadic community members of Nubri and Soe Yaksa. The training is conducted by Ms. Ute Meuser from Germany, who has been working in Ladakh, India, on similar trade. This training will help the community members generate income by utilizing the new skills acquired and using the locally available raw materials (Yak/ sheep wool). A total of twenty participants are attending the training including one male participant. This is a part of the UN Women funded project “support to women with income generating activities’’.
