Continuing from stakeholder consultation, the Korean technical consortium, together with national partners, conducted field engagements in the Punakha and Wangdue Phodrang Dzongkhags, connecting directly with communities and local authorities in the Pho Chu and Mo Chu river basins.

The team engaged with dzongkhag officials, local governments, #municipalauthorities, #women, and #youth, grounding the proposed GCF intervention in real, on-the-ground #climate realities. Key issues discussed included:
Flood risks and riverine impacts
Protection of #CulturalHeritage sites
#humanwildlifeconflict and shifting habitats
#ClimateResilient landscape, settlement, and town planning
Growing #waterscarcity
A special consultation with Lunana Gewog officials further highlighted the #highaltitude#ClimateChallenges in one of Bhutan’s most climate-vulnerable regions, including #glaciers-related risks, #ClimateResilient housing, fragile livelihoods, and increasing wildlife interactions.

The Foundation supported and facilitated these community-level engagements, ensuring that local voices, especially those of women and youth, are central to shaping #inclusive and #resilientclimate solutions.
These field dialogues are helping translate national climate ambitions into people-centred, place-based adaptation actions.
