Tshering Yangchen has a degree in B.A (HONS) Geography from Sherubste College, kanglung in Bhutan. She served as a fulltime volunteer for ten months before joining as a permanent staff in 2013 at Folk Heritage Museum under Tarayana Foundation. Currently Tshering is in-charge of the Folk Heritage Museum and look after day to day management and administration. Before joining Folk Heritage Museum under Tarayana Foundation in 2013, she had worked with Druk and Drukpa Tours as Sales and Marketing Officer for the period of one year. She carried out survey and prepared the field report entitled “Socio Economic Study of “Merak and Sakteng” in Eastern Bhutan for Thematic Cartography and field work for the academic year,2007. She also participated in the awareness Campaign for the project” Advocacy and Awareness for Holistic Child Development”, carried out by the Geographical Society Department of Geography and planning. This project was funded by the save the children in 2008. Tshering had served as Hostel Councilor, DH-V (2007-2008) at Sherubtse College, Kanglung in Bhutan. She has been a member of Sherubtse College Rover Scouting Programs in 2008. She is originally from eastern Bhutan.
