Water is a fundamental human need. It is estimated that one person needs 10-40 litres of clean, safe water a day for drinking, cooking, washing and person hygiene. Access to clean water is a step towards improving living standards. Education Suffers when sick children miss school.

Economic opportunities are routinely lost to the impacts of rampant illness and the time consuming processes of acquiring water where it is not readily available. Children and women bear the brunt of these burdens.

Mr. Vancelee Teng Kien Meng and Mr. Lee Kok Hong from Malaysia, donated 10 numbers of Ozone Anti-bacterial Sanitizer, “Cashido 10 Second Machine” to the Foundation. Director of Programmes of the Foundation, Sonam Pem, received them on behalf of the Foundation and further said that the 8 water machines shall be distributed to the schools in the remote areas of Eastern Bhutan, while the remaining two shall be donated to the Bhutan Kidney Foundation.
