Last week, the Technical Advisory Committee and Working Group convened at the Tarayana Centre Board Room to review and refine the Agroecological-based Roadmap for Sustainable Food Systems under the project “Enhancing Knowledge and Capacities of Local Stakeholders to Strengthen Policy Environments Enabling Agroecology in the Himalayas.”
Leading up to this, the consultations were also held at the Dzongkhag and Gewog levels in Dagana Dzongkhag (Kana & Khesiba Gewogs) and Chukha Dzongkhag (Metakha & Logchina Gewogs), gathering insights from local officials, farmers, cooperatives, businesses, and financial institutions.
This meeting marked a crucial step in shaping a resilient and inclusive food system, ensuring that the voices of farmers and stakeholders are reflected in the final roadmap.
