arayana Foundation was pleased to facilitate an exposure visit for the Madhya Pradesh Samaj Seva Sanstha (MPSS) 46 team members to Bhutan from February 22 to 24. As a leading organization working towards community development in Madhya Pradesh Samaj Seva Sanstha, MPSS focuses on sustainable agriculture, climate resilience, and empowerment of marginalized communities. The visit aimed to foster knowledge exchange in sustainable agriculture, organic farming, and community-driven initiatives.

Key highlights included visits to the Centenary Farmersโ Market (CFM) and Bhutan Hydroponics Pvt. Limited, and the National Centre for Organic Agriculture (NCOA), Yusipang. The team also visited Dogar Gewog in Paro district, interacting with community members involved in spring shed management initiatives. The MPSS members were highly impressed by the communityโs active participation and the adoption of nature-based solutions to address water challenges. Inspired by these efforts, they expressed strong interest in implementing similar solutions in their own communities to enhance water security and address local water issues. A special thanks to Dr. Norden Lepcha from NCOA for presenting on Bhutanโs organic status and facilitating the field visit. We also thank Madam Kinley, a women entrepreneur leading Bhutan Hydroponics, for sharing her valuable experiences and insights on hydroponic farming.
Our heartfelt gratitude to the community members of Dogar for sharing their valuable experiences and insights.
